BIOGUARD® Barrier Conforming Bandage dressings consist of a blend of Rayon and Polyester tightly bound with a non-toxic, high molecular weight cationic polymer, Poly (Diallyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride), (p-DADMAC) at a concentration of 0.02 mg/sq. inch. The non-toxic, high molecular weight cationic polymer does not leach out of the dressing (under physiological conditions). Conforming Bandages conform easily to body contours, even when wet or saturated with drainage. The bandage stretches and clings to itself, requiring minimal additional securement.

The dressings provide a barrier to bacterial contamination while also providing reductions of common pathogens (see table for full details) within the dressings.

Barrier Conforming Bandage dressings are intended for use to secure and prevent movement of a primary dressing. BIOGUARD® Conforming Bandage dressings are intended to be used as a part of an overall infection control program – the dressings alone do not provide complete protection against infection.
